  • Review your current role and future roles to understand core competencies.
  • Consider additional nuances between Variable Markets, Dedicated Accounts, and Industries or Sectors.
  • Reflect on your interests and where you’d like to further develop yourself and your career.

Meet with your manager

  • Identify and discuss your strengths and weaknesses for competencies in your current role.
  • Discuss and identify your areas of interest, roles of interest, potential career goals and next steps.
  • Identify and set-up meetings with people in a role you’re interested in to further determine interest in the role and immediate next steps to support career progression.

  • Create action items to develop weakness and refine strengths.
  • Determine opportunities to upskill based on future role desires.
  • Explore the “Your Next Move” page in HRDirect.
  • Create your career development plain in Workday leveraging the Employee Guide for instructions on creating a career development plan.
